P/E Induct E Rus1Induction of President Edric Russell 16 July '08 It’s that time of the year again, when Rotary clubs around the world are changing their presidents. Actually, it normally happens in June, but because the incoming president of the Queenstown Rotary Club, Edric Russell, picked a rather inopportune time to undergo a major operation, his induction had to be postponed.This is, of course, making light of a serious matter and all present were pleased that Edric was well enough to pick up the reins with such a short delay, after we had heard at one stage that his induction would have to be delayed by up to six months.The chilly evening detracted in no way from the warm fellowship experienced as MC Bruce van der Meer got proceedings underway with his signature brand of humour.
