Induction of President Edric Russell (continued)

In his brief annual report, outgoing president Dave Stacey especially thanked Queen’s College for hosting the Danish exchange student, Hannibal Troensegaard, and a message of good wishes from assistant governor (and a past president) Kruno Füzy, who is abroad at present, was read by Geoff Smith.After the customary toasts, a delicious meal and the always impressive candle-lighting ceremony, Dave inducted Edric and Polly was wished well and handed her badge of office by outgoing Anns president Cynthia Schaefer. In his acceptance speech, Edric said it was his dream to forge closer ties between the two Rotary clubs in Queenstown.He then introduced his board comprising vice president Bruce van der Meer, secretary Gavin Schaefer, treasurer Ernest Littleford, international service Paul Strutt and house committee chairman Stan Hollis.Chux Fourie - The Rep
